Department of Zoology
The department first started as department of Biology in 1946; but after the institution get the standard of being a college Biology bifurcated into two subjects viz Botany and Zoology, hence department of Zoology came into force in 1955. Since then the department is contributing to the society and to science indefatigably. Presently main research areas of Zoology Dept are Entomology, Biodiversity, Toxicology, Fish Biology and Environmental Biology. There are separate laboratories for U.G. , P.G. ,entomology and fish biology in the department.
