Seth Mangal Chand Choudhary Govt. College was establishment in 1977. The College runs undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science and Postgraduate courses in Hindi, Geography, Economics and English. The College is recognized by U.G.C. under section 2(f) & 12 (b). This College is affiliated with M.L.S.U. Udaipur. The N.A.A.C. has awarded Grade “B” in the year 2015-16.  Abu Road is located in between Aravali hill. Mount Abu is about 29 Kms. Far from Abu Road which is the only  hill station in Rajasthan. Abu Road Tehsil lies in T.A.D.A. region. There is a majority of Garasiya community in Abu Road tehsil. Abu Road is in southwest part of Rajasthan nearer to Gujrat border at distance 11 Kms. From it. Abu Road is well connected by road  and North-West Railway line in between Delhi to Ahemdabad.
