INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the official site of Manikya Lal Verma Government College, Bhilwara (Raj.). It is a premier institute under the Department of College Education Jaipur, Rajasthan. The main building of the college is located in the heart of the textile city Bhilwara. The college has a prestigious history of proven results, most experienced and quality teaching staff. This College has every reason to be proud of its infra-structure. There is a big campus spread over 21.3 acres having the main building with about 100 rooms a big library building with separate Stacking, Reading and Reference Sections, N.R.S.C. Hall, Cafeteria, Secrecy Section and a big Boys Hostel with a capacity of accommodating about 150 students. On one hand it has a rich Library having about 1.25 lacs of latest editions of books and well established Postgraduate Departments with well equipped laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geography and Computers with well maintained Botanical Garden, Play Grounds, 400 meter track, Weight Lifting Room, Basket Ball, Table Tennis , Badminton and Tennis Courts on the other. The college has acquired recognition from UGC under Section 2(f) and 12 (b) since inception of the UGC Act, 1972 and among the colleges obtaining maximum grants from UGC under its five year plan schemes. It was accorded with a status of Autonomous College by UGC during 1988 to 1995.
