Govt. college, Gudha was established in Sept. 2013 by State Government order no. 1(23) Shiksha/group-3/2013 dated 04.09.2013. The college was allotted 3 hectares of land, in the beginning, to start with on Todi village, Jhunjhunu road. Initially, the college has started UG course in Arts faculty only to cater the need of students in Gudha and nearby area.Government College, Gudha was started by Government of Rajasthan in October 2013 at Gudhagorji which is a Panchyat Headquarter. Gudhagorji is a town in the Shekhawati (which includes three district of Rajasthan viz Jhunjhunu, Sikar and Churu) region of Rajasthan, India. Today, Gudhagorji is one of the important commercial towns in the Jhunjhunu district. Tourists visit the town to see old temples and samadhis located on the hilltop, or to enjoy tracking on the hill. Gudhagorji is connected by State Highway-37, and can be reached by car or bus from Jhunjhunu, Sikar or Jaipur. The town is about 35 km from Jhunjhunu, 56 km from Sikar and 130 km from Jaipur. At present there is no hi-fi hotel but there are hotels just to stay or for emergencies. However, tourists may stay either in dharmsala. The population of the village is approximately 15 thousand. The village can be called a town according to its development. The language used by local people is Marwari language but everyone knows Hindi as it is a part of north India. The town has emerged as an educational hub of Shekhawati region. There are number of vernacular, Hindi and English medium schools (including schools following CBSE syllabus), there are good enough degree colleges (more than five) in Science, Commerce, B.Ed and Humanities. Many villages around this town are located at footstep of mountains like Bhojgard, Ponk, Guda & Manaksas. Actually this town is a lifeline of 46 villages nearby it.
