Seth Shree Kedarnath Modi Rajkiya Mahavidhalya Gudha, Jhunjhunu was established in September 2013 with a strong commitment to providing quality education to students. The college strives to make significant contributions to education while fostering national development. This document reflects the vision, achievements, efforts, and future plans of the institution.
The college is affiliated with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University, Sikar. It is located in Gudha-Gorji, on the Jhunjhunu-Udaipurwati State Highway, approximately 35 kilometers from Jhunjhunu city. The grand building of the college was constructed by Bhamashah Seth Shri Krishan Kumar Modi, Chief Trustee of the Mani Modi Foundation, Kolkata, in memory of his father, Seth Shri Kedar Nath Modi. The college infrastructure consists of 27 rooms, including a Smart Classroom and an ICT Lab. Additionally, the college has sports facilities such as a basketball court, tennis court, and volleyball ground. The campus is situated near the Aravalli Mountains, and due to its elevated position, it attracts attention from passersby.
As a government institution, the faculty and courses are determined by the State Government. Initially, in 2013, the college offered undergraduate education in one faculty with seven subjects: English Literature, Hindi Literature, History, Economics, Geography, Sociology, and Political Science. In 2018-19, the college expanded to offer postgraduate-level courses. A significant milestone was reached in October 2024 with the introduction of Science and Commerce streams. The Science faculty now includes five core subjects: Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Chemistry. and Physics, while the Commerce faculty offers EAFM (Economic Administration and Financial Management), BADM (Business Administration), and ABST (Accountancy and Business Statistics).
In December 2024, the college launched free coaching classes in collaboration with the Mani Modi Foundation, Kolkata, reinforcing its commitment to providing accessible and inclusive education. Although the college is still in its early stages, it has immense potential for growth. Currently, there are 862 seats available for undergraduate students and 120 seats for postgraduate students. In addition, many non-collegiate students visit the college to seek academic guidance. Located at the center of 52 villages, the college has become an educational hub for rural students, even benefiting those from remote areas.
The college's primary goal is the all-round development of its students. To achieve this, equal emphasis is placed on both curricular and co-curricular activities, including NSS, sports, competitive events, cultural activities, and mental counseling.
