Khairthal, which was known as 'Kayasthal' about 1000 years ago, has become the district headquarters of Khairthal-Tijara District on 7 August 2023 after the notification issued under the Government of Rajasthan. Khairthal was settled about 1000 years ago by the name of 'Kayasthal', where 'Kayasthas' used to live in large numbers. In the reign of Aurangzeb, at the time of the movement of the head of Narnaul, the Mughal army took control of the then workplace and named it Khairyat Sthal, which later came to be known as Khairthal. The grain market (Anaj Mandi) here has also been named Nasirabad Mandi after the name of Khairthal's Jagirdar Nasir. Later Raja Tej Singh of Alwar got the present old Anaj Mandi of Khairthal built in a circular shape, in the middle of which he also built the temple of Lord Lakshmi Narayan, which is currently the center of faith of the people of Khairthal. Sindhis And a large number of people of Pushkarna Brahmin community came here from Pakistan during partition, who have contributed a lot in the progress of Khairthal at present. Being the main commercial mandi of Alwar district and situated on the Delhi-Ahmedabad major rail route, this town is developing rapidly.
