
Ragging is a criminal offense and a serious violation of human rights. Our college is committed to maintaining a ragging-free campus environment where every student feels safe, respected, and welcome. We have a zero-tolerance policy against any form of ragging in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
What Constitutes Ragging?According to UGC regulations, ragging includes:
Any verbal, physical, or psychological abuse
Forced activities causing embarrassment or fear
Isolation or targeting of any student
Sexual harassment or indecent behavior
Any behavior that affects the dignity of another student
We strictly follow the UGC Regulation on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009. Any student found guilty of ragging is liable to face:
Suspension or expulsion
Withholding of scholarships and results
FIR and legal proceedings under IPC sections
