Introduction
The richness of Indian culture, music, dance and literature is showcased in the ethos of promoting its unity in diversity by the college. The students, mostly coming from rural backgrounds are promoted to exhibit their talents and showcase their spectacular local cultural values through various platforms provided by the college. Student participation reflects their zest for becoming the confident individuals that these forums promote. The Cultural Forum is the driving force behind organizing all the cultural fests and activities of the College. The forum provides an imposing arena for students to display their talents in an open environment in the events conducted by the college and other institutions where our students participate. The Literary Club of Government Girls’ College, tonk conducts a plethora of challenging events for students with an array of wide ranging activities. The club meets the communication needs of the students. The events include competitions, guest lectures, workshops, activities such as debate, creative writing, word games (Idioms and Quizzes) and street plays held round the year. The Literary activities of the Club enable the students to flourish in both verbal and non-verbal patterns of communications. Special attempts are made to improve their vocabulary through their reading skills. A few books are suggested for reading and students were asked to speak on the gist of the literary work. The Literary and Cultural Forum acts as a trendsetter in unearthing gems of raw talents. The Forum is a platform for the emerging talents to give exposure to their skills and transform them into confident young women. This is a Report of Literary and Cultural Activities of our students and their achievement
