The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) labs were established in government girls college tonk under Rashtriya Ucchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) colleges’ scheme. It provides an opportunity for all college students to develop ICT skills and learn through computer aided learning process. So it is a major catalyst to bridge the digital divide amongst students of various socioeconomic and other geographical barriers. ICT can help to prepare students for the demands and challenges of the digital age by developing their digital skills and literacies. By using ICT in education, students can learn how to search, evaluate, and use information effectively and responsibly, and how to communicate and collaborate online safely and respectfully. In an increasingly digital world, 21st-century skills are essential for success. ICT equips students with the tools and abilities needed to thrive in the modern workforce. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills are honed through the use of ICT.
The laboratory is equipped with 7 computers. The lab has a LAN connection and all computers are connected with 12 Mbps speed via BSNL Fiber optic connection. It also has two all-in-one printers.
