-   About the Department - 

The department of science and humanities is responsible to teach the fundamentals of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematical Sciences and Communication skills. In addition, the department strives to develop the applied approaches of different scientific concepts.

Department of science and humanities committed to develop conceptual understanding through engaging the aspirants in the practices of applied sciences for future learning and to fulfill the needs of engineering aspects.

Mission:  

•To develop scientific approach and provide conceptual understanding of fundamentals to create technically qualified and skilled engineers.

• To acquaint students with fundamentals such that they are capable of understanding and adapting to professional standards

•To Inculcate ethical values in students and accumulate their passion for holistic excellence.

Objectives:

•To make the students confident about the concept being applied in different engineering applications of different engineering steams like Architecture, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical, Mechanical Production and Mechanical RAC.

•To make the students socially responsible by involving them in different activities.

Activities:

• Teaching the fundamental scientific theories and mathematical concepts to the new comer first year students both in first and second semesters.
• To make student confident to communication in english.
• To develop ethical and human values in the students by involving them in social/group activities through the courses like Student Cantered Activities (SCA) and Aanandam.

Skills developed/ program outcomes:

• The students are skilled in the basic theories of Physics and Chemistry which are being applied in different engineering applications
• The learned theories of basic fundamentals will be helpful in understanding of engineering topics in upcoming semesters.
• The students are skilled for effective communication in English.

Employment Opportunities:

• Get placed in different private sector industries/organizations.

• Get change to select in various state government departments like PHED, PWD, Electricity Board and other agencies under government.

• Get chance to select in different central government departments/organizations.

• The aspirants, after getting diploma, can also become a successful entrepreneur and can open up chances to provide employments to others also.

• The aspirants, after getting diploma, can also pursue for higher education and can directly  get admission in  II -year of  B. Tech.
