Laboratories

WEAVING LAB

• Textile Design Department maintains a weaving lab that is equipped with tabletop sample looms.
•  Offering an effective integration of theoretical and practical inputs to students.
• The infrastructure provides a creative space for students to arrive at a wholistic approach to enquiry and exploration from an individual perspective in relation to materials, processes and methods within the domain of woven structures.

DYEING LAB

• The lab provides a stimulating learning environment where the students test their theoretical knowledge by gaining practical insight and exposure.
• The infrastructure allows the students to understand, appreciate and learn different dyeing techniques.
• Lab has the advanced dyeing machines HTTP dyeing machine, Winch Dyeing machine and Jigger dyeing machine.

COMPUTER AIDED TEXTILE DESIGN

• Well equipped with latest software enabled network computer labs are modern and adequate to meet curricula requirements.
•  Apparel industry software such as Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Dobby Master, Jacquard Master, Print Master etc have uses for industry-oriented training.

PRINTING LAB

• Lab equipped with the all equipments that meets the curriculum requirement. Larger number of block, screen printing and exposing machine.
• Student makes article such as cushions, Table cover saries etc with block and screen printing technologies.
