Safety And Sensitivity

• Women security is taken as prime aspect and related rules and regulation are displayed on separate board.
• Celebration of national and International Women Day.
• An extensive surveillance with CCTV.
• Discipline committee effectively performs its duties and maintains a safe and secure campus.
• Night patrol by the guard.
• Separate toilet facilities for women and girls.
• Strict insistence on Anti Ragging and Anti Smoking campus.

 

Counselling

• Formal and informal avenues for counselling male and female students for various issues and problems.
• Grievance Redressal Committee for staff and students.
• Awareness programs and camps by Women Cell, NSS, NCC on women rights, gender justice, gender indiscrimination, women education, programs against female foeticide, dowry , parda system , medical and health check-up during the camps.
• Women Cell activities specially focus on prepare girls for an active participation in making of equalitarian society

 

UDAAN SCHEME

On the birth anniversary of the country’s first women PM Indira Gandhi, Government of Rajasthan launched the UDAAN Scheme on 19 Nov., 2021to create awareness among girls towards better health and personal hygiene and to prevent diseases. This scheme is being run in the Government college, Barmer from 13 Aug., 2022. The scheme encourages the use of sanitary pads and their free distribution in the college according to the need and creates a conducive environment to bring awareness related to the dignity of women, their safety and menstruation.

 

 

                                                                          

Scooty Schemes for girls

To promote girl education to schemes ( Devnarayan Scooty Scheme and Kalibai Medhavi Chatra Scooty Vitran Yojana) are implemented in the college where in scooties are distributed to under graduate girl students with high percentage in secondary.

Promotion in Admission

• Girl applicants are given extra 3% weightage during admission in under graduate and post graduate programs if the concerned subject is not being run in the local Government Girls College.
