Code of Conduct for Students
The college website lists the code of conduct that students are expected to follow. Violations of these rules will result in disciplinary action.
- Respectful Environment: Students should foster an environment conducive to learning and avoid making derogatory comments about any religion, caste, or creed.
- Identity Cards: Students must carry and show their identity cards on demand within the college premises.
- Visitors: Outsiders are not allowed on campus without prior permission from authorities or staff.
- Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance is mandatory. Students must attend at least 60% of lectures and practical classes to be eligible for examinations, in accordance with University norms.
- Cleanliness: Students should keep the campus clean and use garbage bins for waste disposal.
- Timeliness: Students must be in class on time.
- Classroom Protocol: Permission from the teacher is required to enter or leave during lectures.
- Energy Conservation: Lights and fans should be turned off before leaving the classroom.
- Anti-Ragging: Ragging is strictly prohibited. Severe actions, including rustication, will be taken against offenders as per UGC Regulation 2009.
- Behavior: Students should be respectful and humble towards teachers, staff, and peers. Arrogance or rudeness is punishable.
- Electronic Devices: Mobile phones and similar gadgets are prohibited in classrooms, examination halls, the library, laboratories, and corridors.
- Library Cards: Students must not use others’ library cards and should carry their own to issue or return books.
- Property Care: Students should avoid damaging college property. If responsible, they will be fined; if the culprit is unidentified, the entire class/section will bear the cost.
- Tobacco Use: The use of tobacco in any form is prohibited on campus, with penalties in accordance with Government rules.
