History 

 

            The town Bhim got its name from  Bhimta Rao when he founded this place in mid eighteenth century. The first school ever in this area was started in 1836. After independence a middle school was started. In 1972 a Senior Secondary School was established .The growing demand for higher education and consciousness of  being marginalized in absence of proper education, this college was the result of efforts of people of this area and people’s representatives. Thus this college came into existence in the year 2007. Initially this college had a very humble begining in a campus of  a Senior Secondary school in the heart of Bhim town.Later about four kilometers from Bhim enroute to Beawar at a place called Nandawat the building of college was constructed and then inaugurated on Sixth of June 2007 and college began to be permanently housed here.And College Name Changed to Samrat Prathvi Raj Chouhan Govt. College,Bhim by Govt..on 20/08/2018.  The college imparts education in Arts at graduate level with seven subjects namely PoliticalScience, Geography, History, Public Administration, English Literature, Economics and Hindi Literature.
