Bhopalgarh tehsil is a tehsil in Jodhpur District of Rajasthan state in western India. It borders Nagaur District to the north and east, Pipar city tehsil to the south, Jodhpur tehsil to the southwest, and Bawadi tehsil to the west. The mineral and the stone used for Emery Stone are found in Bhopalgarh. Rabi crops are mainly cultivated in the Bhopalgarh Tehsil with Bajra, Moong, Moth, Sesamum (Til), Jowar and Cotton being the most common crops Jats are the dominant community in bhopalgarh . As per 2011 census of India, Bhopalgarh tehsil had a total population of 2,71,567. As per the changing need of the hour, the state government justifiably established an undergraduate government college in Bhopalgarh, in the year 2008. The college is affiliated to Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur and follows the curriculum approved by the University. Directorate, College Education, Rajasthan specifies the number of working days, dates of commencement and end of academic session and also the various curricular & co-curricular activities to be performed during the session. In Arts & Social Sciences we have the following subjects at undergraduate level – Hindi Literature, English Literature, Sanskrit, Political Science, History, Sociology, Economics, and Geography. Graduation in Commerce comprises of three subjects, viz. ABST, EAFM & Bus, Adm. Bachelor’s Degree in Science is offered in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology. At Post Graduate level we have History. The Faculty of Education offers two year NCTE recognized B.Ed. Programme with an input of 100 students per year.
