Rain Water Harvesting
In alignment with sustainable development goals and environmental conservation efforts, Government Commerce College, Alwar has implemented a Rainwater Harvesting System within the campus. This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to water conservation, eco-conscious infrastructure, and responsible resource management.
The system is designed to collect and store rainwater from the rooftop and other catchment areas of the college buildings. Collected rainwater is directed through a network of pipes into underground recharge pits, helping replenish the groundwater table.
The rainwater harvesting project serves as a live model for students, encouraging awareness and education about environmental sustainability. It is a step towards creating a green, self-reliant, and environmentally responsible academic environment.
