INTRODUCTION

Degana is a city and a municipality and tehsil located in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan, India. The city is situated roughly southeast of 90 km from Nagaur, at a junction of State Highways 59 and 60. 

 Govt. College Degana was establised in 2015 at Govt. School degana and in 2018 shifted to near hari singh place, degana village road, degana in its own building.

 The College is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer and offer Graduation Course in Science ( Maths and Biology), Arts and Commerce. Total number seats in part 1 admission is 476 ( Arts - 200, Commerce - 100, Science - 176)

Government College Degana was established in 2015 to provide opportunities in higher fields to the students of this area. This college runs in all three streams – science, arts, commerce. Presently more than 900 students are studying here. This college is the only co-educational government college in the region. This college is spread over about 30 acres which has building, Gandhi vatika and sports grounds. The college is affiliated by MDSU, Ajmer. The classes are held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. the time suitable for rural students. Now this college has semester system in graduation according to NEP 2020 followed by MDSU.
