The shortage of troops in the British Army has been felt due to the First World War. The British rulers wanted to impart military training to university students, who provided good officers and soldiers for their army. With this objective in mind, the University Corps was established on 3 November 1917 at the University of Calcutta. With the passage of the Indian Territorial Act in 1920, it became the "University Training Corps" and in 1942 it came to be known as the "University Officers Training Corps" Committee. Accepting the recommendations of the committee, the NCC Act was constituted on 16 July 1948. By which a "National Cadet Corps" was established under the Ministry of Defense. National Cadet Corps develops leadership, discipline, fraternity and secularism within cadets.
A unit of NCC in the college is being operated by 10 Raj Battalion NCC Army Wing Udaipur. Which has a vacancy for 53 cadets. Three years of training for "C" certificate and two years of training for "B" certificate are provided here. In training cadets learned about weapon operation and aiming, map reading, compass reading, ambush and many others. Every year DG NCC organise many camps like Army Attachment Camp, Trekking Camps, National Integration Camps and RD Parade camp for the cadets. NCC related all activities are completed at the college level under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Vinod Kumar Khudiwal.
