The college that was formally being run in the Govt. Sr. Sec. School's building was shifted inside the old historical fort in the year sep. 2010. It's present area is almost 20 bighas of land inside the fort which was built in 1860. The name of the town GOVINDGARH is derived from the nearby LORD GOVIND DEV JI's Temple.
GEOGRAPHY & DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
A Tehsil of the Mewat region - Govindgarh is situated in the eastern tip of Alwar district. The neighboring district is Bharatpur. Nagar, Deeg, Ramgarh, Laxmangarh are the surrounding townships. A large number of SC,ST,OBC& SBC Communities in addition to 'MEO' Muslims live in the nearby villages. The main occupation of the inhabitants is agriculture and the main crops are MUSTARD,WHEAT, COTTON & Seasonal Vegetables.
