HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE

                     LBS Govt. PG College is situated on NH 8 in North 110 KM away from Jaipur and in south 167 KM from Delhi. The College was established in 1962 with the great effort of former freedom fighter late Shri Mukti Lal Modi. It was inaugurated by then Chief Minister of Rajasthan Late Mr. M.L. Sukhadia. In 1962 there were only 114 students enrolled in the college. Spread in 18 acres area this college has preceded on the way of progress with its increasing number of students and academic excellence. It was affiliated to UGC in 1979. In 1979 P.G. Classes in Political Science and ABST subjects were introduced in the college. At PG level 1980-81 Business Administration, ABST and EAFM, in 1982-83 History, in 1986-87 Economics, in 1988-89 Chemistry, in 2009-10 Geography and Botany subjects were introduced in the college. M.Sc.(Mathematics), M.Sc.(Physics) , M.Sc.(Zoology) and M.A.(Hindi), M.A. (English) were introduced in 2018 in the college.The college is affiliated to University of Rajasthan Jaipur. Many students of this college are providing their valuable services on higher posts of state and Central Government. The college is devoted to its role in its contribution to higher Education.
