HISTORY
Three idols of Sanwaliya swroop of Lord Krishna concealed under the ground unearthed in 1840 AD. One of them was carried to nearby village Mandphiya, another established at Bhadsoda village, and remaining at the site of discovery itself. However, huge popularity is gained by the idol established at Mandphiya. The old temple at this site has now been transformed into a temple looking similar to the temple at Akhshardham in Gujarat.
The college building was constructed by the Shri Sanwaliyaji Temple Trust; hence government of Rajasthan initiated this academy of education with Nobel intent to spreading higher education in this rural area.
The college was made operational from july1997 as an undergraduate college with all the three faculties: Arts, Science and Commerce. The College has been providing P.G. Course in Political Science Since 2022 - 23.
Mandphiya (24°69` Latitude and 74° 48` longitude) is situated in Bhadesar tehsil of district Chittorgarh; southern Rajasthan (23°3-30°12` N; 69°30-78°17` E) in north western India, 40 kilometers away from famous historical city of Chittorgarh (23°32` and 25°13` N; 74°12` and 75° 49` E)
Topography is characterized by undulating hills (avg. elevation: 394 meters/1292 feet) belonging to central Arawali ranges, scattering over the entire region. The area is famous for Marble, Cement and Opium.
The climate is arid, semi Dry/Sub humid. The summers are hot (April to June) have temperature range of 23° to 44°C. the winters are cool (November to Feb.) with temperature range of 11° C to 28° C. In monsoon (June to Sept.) the region experience scant/ intermittent rain fall.
The soil is red loamy and brown. The major crops are maize, wheat barley, jowar, paddy, gram, pulses, cotton and sugarcane.
