It is with immense pride and deep satisfaction that I extend a warm welcome to the official website of our college—a premier government institution dedicated to advancing knowledge, nurturing potential, and building an equitable future through education.

Located in the heart of a rural region, our college serves as a vital centre of learning for students from diverse backgrounds. APJ Abdul Kalam has rightly said, and I completely believe that education is not just a resource for imparting knowledge, it creates and augments the overall personality of an individual. Recently, with the introduction and implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) there has been significant changes in the Indian education system which will augment holistic changes and multidisciplinary skill enhancement. The Indian Knowledge System has been an integral part of our institution from the time of its commencement and now this traditional culture will be enriched with the implementation of the new education system. It will undoubtedly enhance cultural heritage, thus creating a positive impact on the progression of the society.

As a government college, we are firmly committed to the democratization of education. We actively implement a wide range of government-led schemes and initiatives designed to enhance access, equity, and quality in higher education. Among these, the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) stands out as a transformative force—strengthening our institutional infrastructure, fostering innovation, and enabling inclusive growth across all dimensions of academic life.

Our undergraduate (B.A.) and postgraduate (M.A.) programmes in Geography are designed not only to develop disciplinary expertise but also to cultivate a deep understanding of spatial relationships, environmental dynamics, and sustainable development. Fieldwork, community-based projects, and interdisciplinary inquiry form an integral part of our pedagogy, ensuring that students connect their learning with both global contexts and local imperatives.
