HISTORY

Pokaran is internationally well known as the place where India achieved its nuclear might. It is situated in west Rajasthan in Jaisalmer dist.Pokaran is situated on NH - 15 at 175 kms. west of Sun City Jodhpur and 108 kms. east of Golden City Jaisalmer. It is also directly linked by rail with Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur & Jaisalmer.

World famous spiritual pilgrimage place Ramdeora is just 12 kms. from Pokaran and temple of Goddess Ashapoorna is situated just outside the city.

Although Pokaran is a small remote rural place but due to military station and upcoming projects of Solar energy, all facilities and amenities of any big city are available here.
