B.B.D. Government College, Chimanpura(Shahpura) is recognised under UGC section 12(  ). It has three faculties Agriculture, Commerce and Science. Commerce department has Post graduation in all streams with one research supervisor. In science faculty Maths, Physics and Zoology are UG departments   and PG courses are running in Botany and Chemistry. There are three registered research supervisors in Botany, two in Chemistry, Physics and Zoology each. In  Chemistry master degree course is under SFS scheme since 2005.This course has been regularised in botany in the session 2017-18 by Rajasthan government . Now in Botany department there is regular Master degree course with 58 students in M.Sc.(Final)and Previous.
