The establishment of Government Girls College, Sikandra (Dausa) was announced by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot in June 2019. The sole purpose of the announcement of this college was to promote girls' education in this rural area which was devoid of an institution of higher education in the government sector. This degree college currently has only the Arts faculty with two sections each for B.A. Part - I and II, whereby seven optional subjects namely, Home Science, Geography, Economics, English Literature, Hindi Literature, Political Science, and History are taught. The college began functioning with effect from September 2019 with 116 girls admitted in B.A. Part I.  In current session 200 girls were admitted in B.A. Part - I. Thus, the college has a total strength of 466 girl students. On account of the absence of its own building, though the land has already been allotted but is yet to be constructed, the college is currently being operated on the campus of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sikandra, near Nale Wale Balaji.

The college aims at being an institution of academic excellence, teaching the rural students using modern, techno-friendly aids in COVID-19 pandemic times too. In its early childhood, the college is successfully conducting academic and co-curricular activities, other than Anandam and NSS. The college has received temporary affiliation from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur for the session  2019-20 and 2020-21. The college being a Government institution is following the guidelines of the state government in all matters such as procedure and eligibility of admission, purchase of equipment in laboratories, and books in the Library, etc.
