INTRODUCTION

Introduction:

              Government College, Sojat City was established in 2006(August 18th). It was a  Co-Education college affiliated to M.D.S. University at its time of inception. Presently the college is affiliated to Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur from session (2012-13). The College offers undergraduate pass courses in B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com faculties and Masters in Hindi Literature.

              The College is spread over 14 acres of land with a constructed area of 12144.96 Sqm. It has three Blocks – Administrative, Academic and Science. The Academic Block Comprises of Principal’s Chamber, Office, Staff Room, Girls Common Room, Computer Room and (Youth Development Center (Y.D.C.) Room. Both the blocks have been constructed by the financial support of Sojat Shiksha Samiti/Sansthan a charitable trust of Sojat in 2006. The Science block has laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Geography departments. The blocks came into being in session 2007-08 by the funding received through State Government.

              The College library is rich and has about 5000 books. The College also has a large play ground and other sports facilities including Table-Tennis, Badminton, Cricket etc. From the academic point of view, the college has highly qualified faculty, consistently giving excellent results.

              For overall development of the students extra – curricular activities are organized by the two N.S.S. units, Y.D.C., Students Union and associations of Arts, Commerce and Science, Our students have excelled in academics and brought laurels in various university and state level sports competition. Presently approximately 1500 students are enrolled in different courses.
