INTRODUCTION

The family of Goverenment Science College, Sikar (INDIA) extends a warm and hearty welcome for the session 2022-23. Since its foundation in the year 1920 as an Inter College, we have continuously evolved to meet the challenges in the field of academics. The Government of Rajasthan has conferred the status of a model college/a centre for excellence. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited the college with grade ‘A’. The college is firmly committed to provide high quality learning experience to students, inculcate the culture of knowledge and instill the values of democracy. To ensure this we have a very professional, dedicated, efficient and learned team of highly experienced professors.

Our Mission is derived from the very noble principle of “Rite Gyanat Na Mukti (Veda) –Brihadaranyakupanishad (There is no salvation /Mukti without Gyan /Wisdom)”, which controls and governs all the affairs bringing us to service of the students. The principle teaches us to enlighten first and then enlighten others. The college constantly strives to work as the “lighthouse” of knowledge, wisdom and values.

We offer a wide and diverse range of courses including Degrees,and Certificates  in the faculty of Science . Master degree and Ph.D. programmes are also available in science faculty. To equip our students with latest skills and knowledge we have ‘Knowledge Centre’ with internet facility, a library with thousands of books (in the process of being automated) as well as a language lab. Besides teaching and learning we also encourage our students to participate in sports and extra-curricular activities. We exhort them to aim high and work hard through various academic, sports and cultural awards and prizes. Our students have won laurels at the district, state and national level over the years in these fields.

A great number of alumni of the college have achieved success in their career including professions, businesses, public life, jobs etc and are now placed at high echelons.
