Leading Educational Institution of Sujalanchal Government College, Sujangarh, established in 1968, is the biggest government college in whole ‘sujalanchal’ (Sujangarh, Jaswantgarh and Ladnun) region. Over 2600 students are pursuing their higher studies in this institute. The most distinctive area of the institute is its focus on education of youth of rural areas and develop their skills. For this purpose along with curriculum,variousco-curricular activities are conducted throughout the session. To develop their skills along with the goal of infusing moral and human values into them, the college organize various activities andprogrammes like Gandhi Jayanti, Swami Vivekanand Jayanti, Shahid Diwas, National Unity Day and Awareness programmes for hygiene, voter registration and tree plantation.

Government College, Sujangarh is committed to impart not only quality education but also to develop human and moral values, creativity and a balanced professional approach of the students so that they can become good human beings. The aim is to prepare them for both professional and social life. In this way they can contribute in development along the aim of social harmony.
The college offers degree programmes in all three streams - Arts, Commerce and Science at the U.G. level and P.G. programmes in Hindi, Political Science, E.A.F.M., B.M., A.B.S.T., Mathematics and Chemistry subjects.
Almost all of the students are benefited by various scholarships of state government in this college. Sports activities of the college are of high standard which is evident of the fact that the students participate frequently in district and state level competitions and won prizes too.
Apart from sports, the students take initiatives in participating in various literary and cultural activities. For an all-round development of their personality along with the goal of infusing moral and human values into them, the college organizes various programmes like Gandhi Jayanti, Swami Vivekanand Jayanti, Shahid Diwas, National Unity Day and Awareness programmes for hygiene, voter registration and tree plantation drives.
Many literary and cultural events are being organized for the artistic development of the youth of the college like Sujla Sargam, Art and Craft workshop, Wall painting and Poster competition etc. In order to raise the level of various skills of girls, Mahila Prakoshtha of the college is functional to organize programmes like Mehandi, Painting, Essay writing and Speech competition.
Two units of NSS are functional in the College that ensures the involvement of the volunteers to various social welfare issues. The college feels proud in denoting that three blood donation camps were organized by NSS and NCC in past five years. The volunteers enthusiastically worked for various awareness programmes related to corona virus, voter registration, tree plantation, health and hygiene, anti-smoking and drinking, save environment etc. during one day and seven day camps.
Research and Social work of faculty
The college promotes faculty members for academic excellence. Time to time they partake in different Conferences, FDP’s, Orientation programmes, Refresher courses, Workshops, Summer training programmes and short term courses. Research papers and articles of many Faculty members have also published in National and International journals and they have also presented their research papers in National and International seminars.Dr. Gajadan Charan, Associate Professor (Hindi) is a well known Writer and Poet of Rajasthani language.He has published many books, research papers and articles in various magazines and newspapers. Some of published literatures are-Antas ri aawaz (2020), Sabad Sarang (2020), Rajasthani sahitya: Sakh ar sanvedana (2021), Rajasthan ka samridh lok sahitya (2021).Various literary awards have been received for the creation of literature in which ‘Jankavi Moahan Mandela Lok Sahitya Purashkar, Shahpura and Shikshavid Manmohan Manav Sahitya Seva Samman, Nagaur are notable. Dr. Charan participated in Kavya Gosthi on 01.01.2020 ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ theme and the programme was broadcasted by DD Rajasthan Jaipur.Dr. Charan conducted the stage and recited poetry in the programme organized by Indian High Commission, London and Gurukul UK on 30th March 2022 (Rajasthan Day).
A Book for class 11th of RBSE Ajmer named ‘Alok’ edited by Dr. Gajadan Charan, book ‘History and Culture of Rajasthan’ written by Sh. Pawan Bhanwariya (History) and book written by Sh.Nemichand Sharma (Physical teacher) ‘Physical Education and Health’ for the classes of RBSE is allowed.
