 Accredited B grade by NAAC, U.G.C. ,Maharani Sudarshan College, Bikaner now stands  as one of the most prestigious educational institute steadfast to women education. College has been awarded II rank in Rajasthan by Govt. of Rajasthan. Established in 1946, the institute has been serving nation through women education since past seven decades.

 Maharani Sudarshan College was founded in year 1946 and established as PG College in year 1992-93. It Has been accredited with a B+ grade by NAAC (cycle 3) and has also been selected as a model college by the state Govt. In the second cycle of NAAC with all the three streams (science, commerce and arts) and five post-graduation courses ( English, Economics, Political Science, Home Science, and Public Administration), the college has currently 3969 students; 2533 in BA; 558 in B.Com; 705 in B.Sc; and 173 in post-graduation courses.

This College can boast of having academic, Scientists, Administrative officers (both IAS and RAS) Doctors, Lawyers, Politician (MP, MLA) Authors, Poets, Media Persons, Theatre personalities, Social Activists , Mountaineers, Business Women, Entrepreneurs as its Alumni. It also has a claim of educating three generation of most of the household of Bikaner and its surrounding areas and is ready to extend this tradition to the next generation. The college has NCC, NSS, Rangering, YDC, Women cell etc. for students.  The college also provides hostel facility for outstation students.
