HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE

Government Girls College, Bundi was established by the Government of Rajasthan in the year 1995 to encourage women education in the city of Bundi. 6 small and 4 big rooms were handed over vide order dated 2^ndJune 1995 by the Government of Rajasthan for the formal opening of the college that are now used for regular classes. At present, an administrative block is running in the old jail building which is sufficiently renovated through RUSA grant. The building is presently in better shape, thanks to new construction made possible by RUSA and contribution of three rooms from Bajrangdas Sewa Samiti.  The campus of the college extends to 23333 sq. yard (4.82 Acres.). There are lush green areas with temples in the campus. It is affiliated with the University of Kota, Rajasthan. It got its recognition from UGC in November 2004.
