Dear students

Government Girls College, Chittorgarh established in 1995, has completed 29 years of meaningful existence.  It is Arts and commerce degree college in 1995 and science was established in 2010.It has got  postgraduate in Hindi Litreature and history in 2018 , to the present strength of about 912 students, the college has come a long way and has earned a position for itself and stands as a significant name on the academic landscape of Rajasthan. The college started its journey with the vision of “Structuring literate, knowledgeable and self-reliant women capable of upliftment of their families, society and ultimately, the nation” and has since committed itself to provide education at an affordable cost to the girls and women in various courses encompassing the faculties of Arts, Commerce and Science. The College is well equipped with facilities like spacious classrooms, Laboratories, Lush green Sports Ground, Basket-Ball Court, Smart Classes, a Well-Stocked Library, CCTV Surveillance and Hostel. The college is permanently affiliated with Mohan lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, is NAAC accredited with “B” Grade.

Women empowerment is essential for creating an equal and enriched society and education a powerful instrument to achieve this objective, so the mission of the college is “Women Empowerment through Inclusive Excellence”. We, at our college, thus aim at developing self –reliant, conscientious women by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to create a strong identity for them, in the world that is changing itself at an extraordinary pace with the dominance of technology and globalization.

The Research Contribution is the most important activity in any higher learning institution. All Accreditation / Ranking Agencies are very keenly looking for the research performance of Institutions in the assessment period. Faculty members have published more than 50 Research Papers and 25 books and book chapters in the last ten years.

The college believes in undertaking best practices in pedagogy with the combination of teaching skills and erudition of the faculty members and technology. The Girls College tradition happily brings together sound academic achievement with an extensive, vibrant co-curricular programme that includes sports, and female leadership training programmes through mahila prakosth. The college provides solid platforms to students for honing their talents, “ Atmraksha ke gur “– the multi-skill program trains students for their self-defence, physical Mental wellbeing, personality development awareness about women’s rights laws. The college is  providing  free coaching to the 100 students for competitive examinations at Mewar girls college,Chittorgarh. I have no qualms about saying that the girls of our College are the best in sports. Students showcase their creativity through various cultural and literary competitions .Students of our college doing all the social activities in slums and making their personality developed through NSS and Rangering activities.

I feel proud to acknowledge the contribution of all the members of the teaching and non-teaching staff to various endeavours undertaken by the college. Together we plan to reach richer landmarks in the future.
