Sri Sant Sundardas Government Girls College, Dausa, established in1996, is situated near the famous Gupteshwar Temple in the city of Dausa, famous for its old monuments and temples. It has the privilege of being the premier government institution for women education in Dausa region that has had a bright and meaningful beginning. The college came to occupy its present premises in 2004. It is a multi-faculty college imparting undergraduate education in all three faculties of Arts, Commerce, Science and postgraduate education in Hindi Literature and A.B.S.T. to meet the academic needs of the students and aiming at empowering them through learning. Besides the mainstream university education, it provides facilities for a number of vocational and professional courses which are providing a genuine opportunity for girls to learn job oriented professional skills along with their mainstream study. Having enrolment of 2324 students at U.G. level and 148 students at P.G. level, the college is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. A number of activities and programmes are organized under the UGC, National Service Scheme, Scout Rangers, Youth Development Center, Spoken Tutorial, Hello English, Biodiversity initiatives, Mass level Plantation and the sports activities are some of the many avenues which under the guidance of expert teachers, try their best to make the students good and sincere citizens. IT lab has also been established in the college for their technological development and to achieve excellence in multi-tasking. A broad range of extra-curricular activities in the college help the students in confidence-building and are given ample opportunities to show their talent through innovation and creativity.
