Nestled in the beautiful historic city of Jaipur, Government Girls College, Gangori Bazar is a new venture of the government of Rajasthan. It was initiated on 03-01-2022 as an execution of the Budget 2021-22 Declaration of Shri Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Misnister of Rajasthan. The CM had visited the Government Girls Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Gangori Bazar, Jaipur and had ordained that schools which had more than 500 registered girl students would provide higher education to these students in the same precincts. The very next year, in the session 2022-23, the Government Girls College, Gangori Bazar was established in the Hawa Mahal Vidhan Sabha constituency as the fruition of the CM’s declaration.

          Government Girls College, Gangori Bazar is the only government college in Jaipur where Music as a discipline is offered as an optional subject for Graduation programme. This college also has the distinction of being a college where Science stream was opened for Bachelors degree from the very first year of inception. There are two sections in each of the two streams -Arts and Science. The optional subjects offered in the faculty of Arts are Music, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Political Science, History and Home Science. In the faculty of Science, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics have been offered for Bachelors in Science.
