Best Practices -
college organic waste big pits have been made for disposal and making compost. In these, the material prepared after an estimated period of time is used for the preservation and development of trees and plants. The girl students have also been continuously motivated in a positive manner through community programmes. Concerning this educational tours have been a perfect example of this. Visits to border area, educational institutions and tourist places have helped in developing awareness and analytical skills among the girl students.
There have been continuous efforts to improve the ecosystem in the campus, which has helped in the
promotion, conservation and development of many species of trees, plants, birds and insects. Special attention has been paid to the development of local species. The garden developed in the campus has increased the beauty of the premises and the purity of the environment.
Two best practices have also been adopted in the institution.
1. First best practice is Water Harvesting Method based process in which rain water is collected by making two tanks, due to which the need of drinking water and environment conservation is being accomplished.
2. Second best practice is bio-waste, and the process of making compost from organic waste has been included. Three big pits have been made in the college campus in the same order, rotten vegetation, cow dung and other types of waste are respectively dumped. After the estimated period, the compost made from the disposed material found buried in the ground will be taken out and the trees and plants of the campus will be treated.
