The responsibility of any educational institution is to produce creative individuals who are continuous learners, critical thinkers and develop vision, and hence, can contribute to the society productively. At Shri Mishri Lal Sanwal Government Girls College, Jaisalmer that mainly caters the need of girl-student learners from adjoining rural areas, we strive to maximise the student’s potential in its pursuits for learning, and reaching the optimum. The College, located in the heart of the Jaisalmer City, provides good academic ambience laying emphasis on regular classroom learning along with holistic development through many cocurricular activities. The College offers various subject combinations in Arts, Commerce and Science streams in undergraduate programmes, and three postgraduate programmes in Arts stream. The College runs NSS, NCC, Mahila Prakosht including Mahila Niti and Udaan Scheme, sports and games activities, and many more activities to strengthen the potential of student learners to develop a balanced persona. In the coming time the College intends to develop curricula of short-term courses in lines of NEP 2020, that are more skill oriented, and are beneficial for the students with respect to integrating in the job force.
