Best Practice 1:-
1. The Title: women empowerment
Women Empowerment Cell is designed to empower women socially, economically, politically and
legally with a focus on promoting Decision making. It conducts various activities and arranges Guest
Lectures to accelerate the academic enhancement, leadership Development and cultural enrichment in the
lives of young women.
2. Objectives: - The cell shall strive to create a better society by empowering women.
· To create awareness of the woman’s rights.
· To achieve social equality as a prerequisite for women empowerment.
· To promote more cultural space for women to foster a distinctive identity of their own.
· To sensitize women towards our rich cultural inheritance.
· To empower women through education and strengthen them with social values and ethical sphere of
life.
· Identification of strong leadership qualities in them capacity.
· To promote a culture of respect and equality for women.
· The provision of opportunities and Programmes for women to be financially, psychologically and
emotionally empowered so as to promote their growth as individuals in their own right.
·To make them aware of the guidelines of the Supreme Court and to ensure that sexual harassment is
treated as an unacceptable social behavior within the institution and the society. · To conduct seminars,
workshops to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available. · To inculcate entrepreneurial
attitude among young girls so that they will be “Job creators” rather than “Job Seekers”.
3.The Context: - Majority of students hail from rural background. Inequality and women harassment is a
social stigma; the cell has taken keen interest to protect the rights of girl student by organizing distinctive
value added programmes. “If you educate a boy you educate an individual, if you educate a girl, you
educate a whole family”. In this context the cell has designed several women empowerment programmes
to educate the girl student.
· To increase awareness among girl students and lady staff about their rights.
· Listening to the grievances of girl students and guiding them through counseling.
· Creating opportunities for girl students to participate actively in curricular and co-curricular activities.
· Offering health and safety guidance.
· Providing financial assistance to poor girls.
· To increase awareness among girl students about self-employment.
4.The Practice: The institution has organized and conducted various Programmes under this cell with
true spirit and dedication. The college under the banner of this cell has organized several Programmes.
5. Evidence of success: As an outcome of the Programme, group of students were formed with a leader
from each group. Also a WhatsApp group was formed for easy access of the students. Important message
are regularly uploaded in the group so that students actively involved can be informed at the earliest.
Success of programme was ensured by geotagged photos and videos.
6. Problems encountered & Resources Required: Funding and Infrastructural bottlenecks are the
main problems encountered Availability of funds and removal of infrastructural bottlenecks together with
increased student’s participation will make this practice a grand success.

Best practice-2:
1. The title: Clean and Green campus.
2. Objectives of the practice:
a) To generate awareness among students of managing wastes.
b) To involve the students in cleaning their college campus.
c) To set up waste bins in sufficient numbers to avoid littering.
d) To generate consciousness among students about e-waste accumulation and disposal of e-waste from
the college campus.
e) To promote a sense of hygiene among students.
3. The context: The content of the practice is to carry out waste management in a participative manner
involving both students and teachers and also the NSS.
4. The Practice: Our College maintains and expands green spaces on campus by planting trees, creating

gardens and preserving natural habitats. These areas not only enhance the environment but also provide
opportunities for relaxation and recreation. We integrate sustainability into the curriculum and deliver
lectures on environmental topic. We promote students to donate a plant on the occasion of birth
anniversary of eminent persons and their own. Planting trees and cleaning campus are carried out in the
college during NSS Camp. Students set up dustbins on various places of the college to promote tagline
“Swachta hi seva”. Oath and ralleys are organized by both staff and students of the college to clean the
college campus regularly. Also keeping the vicinity of the college was considered a high priority.
