HISTORY

NAGAUR the land of the great warrior, AMAR SINGH RATHORE, is known for its glorious HISTORY .It is the land where the great devotee of KRISHNA, MEERA BAI, was born . After independence on 2^nd Oct.1959, the first declaration about PANCHAYATIRAJ  was  made in NAGAUR  by the then P.M  PANDIT JAWAHAR LAL NEHRU .Thus to add further charms to this land of warriors and poets and to spread the concept of girls' education Govt. Girls' College, NAGAUR  was opened in the district head quarter in 1997.
