An esteemed educational institution for girls, the college is a leading pioneer in the field of science. In October 2023, the College was accredited with a "B" Grade by NAAC. Each department of the College is equipped with well-qualified and experienced faculty, well-equipped laboratories, and supporting staff. The College prides itself on its well-developed research laboratory, established under FIST, a project of the Department of Science & Technology. Thanks to the dedication and guidance of the faculty members and the hard work of the students, many talented students have secured top positions in University examinations. A few students have also been selected for DST sponsored Karya Project for a summer internship in premier institutes across the country during the last two sessions.

The College has several committees, including YDC, NSS, NCC, Rangers, Placement Cell, Women Cell, etc., which work throughout the year for the welfare of the students. In addition to literacy exercises and free coaching classes for competitive exams, regular activities such as sports, summer camps, arts and crafts-related competitions, and yoga camps are organized to bring out the students' latent talent. With a well-equipped library containing over 80,000 books, the College promotes reading and learning habits among the students. A well-equipped computer lab caters to the technological requirements of the students. Two smart classrooms have been established in the college to facilitate e-lectures. The College also provides inflibnet and other e-content facilities to keep the students updated with current trends. Situated within the heart of the city, the College also has a hostel for the students on the campus.

Thus, the College aims for the holistic development of the students to prepare them to face the challenges of the world with strength, determination, and values.
