Government Law College, Churu is located in the heart of Churu district of Rajasthan. The college aims to uphold the principles of the Indian Constitution, the rule of law, and ethical and moral standards through its curriculum. In order to enhance the student’s ability to analyse and articulate contemporary issues of public concern and their legal ramifications, the college also works to disseminate legal knowledge and its role in National development.
In 1979, the Government of Rajasthan primarily initiated Law course and started functioning on the Government Lohia College, Churu campus. Law was officially acknowledged a full-time course by Bar Council India in 2005 and in the same year its independent building was setup with a budget allocation of Rs 4 crore 38 lakh by the State Government. The newly setup building of the college was inaugurated on 21 September 2016, academic work started from 5 November 2017. In addition, during the 2007–08 academic year, the Mahavidyalaya Vikas Samiti was established, and as a result, self-financed Master of Law (LL.M) courses were initiated. At present time the total strength of the college is 440 in the under graduate and post graduate programmes. The college has acquired permanent recognition from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University and is also recognized by the University Grants Commission by 2(f) and 12(b) certificate.
At Government Law College, Churu our objective is to build and impart comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and socially relevant legal education and overall development of the students. For these reasons, the college offers superior faculty, excellent amenities, a vibrant student participation, and engaging extracurricular activities.
