GLC Dausa

Sanskrit for "Beautiful like Heaven," "Dausa" is surrounded in five directions by Lord Shiva (Mahadev) and has both archeological and mythological significance. It was once known as the city of Bhadrawati and is mentioned in the Mahabharata. Since April 10, 1991, Dausa has served as the district's administrative center. It is located 56 kilometers from the capital city of Rajasthan in the northern Aravali mountain range. Its magnificent history, vibrant culture, enduring customs, and distinctive way of life are all its own. Tikaram Paliwal and Ram Karan Joshi, two well-known freedom fighters who helped the country achieve independence and combine several princely states to establish the state of Rajasthan, were born here. Sant Sundardas, a revered Dadu Dayal follower and Nirgun Panthi Sant, was also born in Dausa. Along with 42 other well-known Granthas, he also penned famous Gyan Sundaram and Sundar Vilas.
