INFRASTRUCTURES

The college, at present, does not have its own independent campus and is running within the premises of Government P.G. College, Sirohi. As per the direction of The Commissioner, College Education, Rajasthan following arrangements are temporarily made in the parent college building for the operational purpose till construction of New Building (Construction Work ongoing at present) proposed to be completed by January 2022.

Infrastructures allotted to the college in the temporary building: -

  1. Classroom allotted to college:- Room No. 22, 27 & 28.
  2. Moot Court: Room No. – 23
  3. Office – Room No. – 24
  4. Principal Office – Room No. – 25.
  5. Library:- (01) Law Library at Science Campus.

Infrastructure facilities enjoyed on sharing basis with Government P.G. College, Sirohi (The Parent College):

Apart from the above, the college avails following infrastructure facilities on sharing basis with parent college to facilitate the students and faculty members to conduct and promote quality teaching and research in a plural and diverse atmosphere.

The College Building:-

The proposal for allotment of land situated at Khasra No. 1591 with total area 2.35 hectares (approx. 10 Bigha) is approved by state level committee, Department of Local Bodies, and the land is allotted to college. Another proposal for allotment of plot No. 1589 for the purpose of sports ground is forwarded through Nagar Palika Sirohi and is presently under consideration at state level committee. The same will be allotted very soon.

For the purpose of construction of new building as per the layout plan approved by government, an MOU has been executed between Bhamashah Shri K.P. Shanghavi (Chairman, Pavapuri Charitable Trust) and The Commissioner, College Education, in the month of October 2020 and the foundation stone ceremony concluded on 30th November, 2020 in presence of Shri Sanyamji Lodha, MLA, Sirohi and Shri Manubhai Mewada, Chairman, Nagarpalika, Sirohi. The new campus under construction is to be built on total area of approx.. 20000 sqft. Surrounded by scenic view of mountains with direct approach to NH- 14. The campus will have state of the art infrastructural facilities more specifically mentioned in approved layout map enclosed.

MOOT COURT ACTIVITIES:

Moot Court rooms are a thrust area of the Government Law College, Sirohi. Moot court is an extra-curricular activity in the college. The College strives to integrate the theory and practice of Law in the campus through regular moot court competitions and mock trials of cases. The students are trained to improve their analytical, research, oratory and writing skills which would support them to be successful in their careers.

The College has one room dedicated for conducting Moot Court activities with total seating capacity of 60, with adequate furniture required.

In the new campus, which is under construction, a state of the art, fully furnished, air-conditioned, equipped with display boards and modern audio-video Aids with size of around 1300 sq. ft with seating capacity of more than 120 is proposed to be constructed as per the layout plan enclosed here.

GREEN CAMPUS:

 Government Law College is committed to the future and more importantly to sustainable development. The College has always focused on maintaining lush greenery in and around its vicinity. With an aim to reduce the global ecological footprint, and promote sustainable development, the College encourages planting and maintenance of numerous varieties of trees and plants and imparts environmental education to the students. We are happy to highlight its tree plantation initiative, which has witnessed plantation of trees through many eminent visitors District & Session Judge Sirohi, Secretary, DLASA, Sirohi, Shri Devji Bhai Patel [M.P. – Jalore Sirohi], Shri Sanyam Lodha [MLA, Sirohi]. The College strives to have an eco-friendly environment and is aiming to become a ‘plastic free campus’.
