INTRODUCTION

The diploma certificate courses were started in the year 1951 to meet out the needs of industries and Technical Education in Rajasthan. Numbers of Government Polytechnic Colleges were established in Rajasthan and they governed by Technical Education Department of Rajasthan

As a part of further extension in technical educational in Rajasthan, under MHRD’s Sub-Mission Scheme, Government Polytechnic College Bagidora was established. College got its first AICTE approval for session 2012-13. Since Inception institute was running at temporary campus of mentor institute Government Polytechnic College, Sirohi.

Institute shifted to its original location at Bagidora, Banswara around end of year 2016. Currently college is running with five diploma courses - 1. Electrical Engineering, 2. Computer Science and Engineering , 3. Electronics engineering, 4. Cyber Forensics and Information Security and 5. Electronics( Robotics)  with intake of 30 each.Institute has III cell that helps students to interact with industry and to get placements.The Institute is registered at national Digital Library Portal run by MHRD,Govt. of India and Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan(UBA). Institute is also registered at Swayam Portal and has facility to watch MOOCs online Videos. Institute is running in the overall control of Ministry of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan and Directorate of Technical Education Rajasthan, Jodhpur. The courses are affiliated with the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan, Jodhpur
