MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Mechanical Engineering Department of Government polytechnic College, Chittorgarh has sufficient building structure including Mechanical Workshop and various laboratories viz., Automobile Engineering laboratory, Refrigeration and Air conditioning laboratory, Internal Combustion Engines laboratory, Thermal Engineering laboratory, Metrology laboratory, Machine shop, Turning shop, Hydraulics laboratory, etc.

Workshop includes - Carpentry, Fitting and Welding shops which mainly cater to all branches of the first year students.

Intake capacity of students: 60

60 students are admitted per year in the first year + 5% additional seats for Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

In the second year, 6more students are admitted through lateral entry for ITI holders and 12^th pass students.

 Placements:

Students from Mechanical Engineering Department are being placed at much esteemed organizations like; Anand group, KS Automobile, Bhatia and company, Eicher, Chittor Hyundai, Ultra tech cement, SGK India, Yash Metrology etc.

Students are also being employed in several government departments like, Transport Department, Indian Railways, Roadways, and Public Health & Engg. Department, Ground Water Department, Defence laboratory, PWD etc.
