ELECTRONICS ENGG.

About the Department

The Electronics Engineering Department is successfully running in the institute since year 2006. The department has all the fully equipped practical labs & workshop. All the basic knowledge & skills are imparted to students enabling them to become a good engineering professional.

A student has to go through classroom lecturers, tutorials, practicals, trainings projects etc. giving them good exposure to industrial and technical knowledge.

Digital and Microprocessor Lab

Digital and Microprocessor lab equipped with various types of microprocessor, micro controller trainer kits along with interfacing modules to demonstrate the detailed applications of microprocessors. The purpose of this laboratory is to train the students to be familiar with the software and hardware of microprocessors so that they can gain enough experiences to meet the demand of the microprocessor era. All the basic digital logic design experiments can also be performed using digital trainer kits.

Electronics Workshop

In this lab all basic electronic devices, their characteristics and applications can be studied, small electronic circuits can be constructed and checked. In order to familiarize the students with basic components of electronics, this lab is furnished with advanced CROs, function generators and digital multimeters. Students can perform practical on P-N junction diode, Zener Diode, rectifiers and filters, transistor biasing, RC coupled amplifiers and FETs.

Power Electronics Lab

In this lab Electronic devices such as diode, BJT, SCR, DIAC, UJT, JFET etc. characteristic experiments can be carried out. Half wave rectifier, Full wave rectifier, Clipper, Clamper, Multi-vibrators, Oscillators and amplifier experiments are also conducted. Voltage and current commutated chopper circuits are carried out to comprehend the conversion of fixed DC to variable DC voltage by voltage commutation and current commutation respectively.

Communication & T.V. Lab

The training and experience that Electronics students gain in this laboratory enhance their understanding of analog and digital communication systems. The concepts of all type of modulation & demodulation can be studied. The recent communication techniques can be demonstrated with available equipments. Students conduct experiments in a communication lab where they become acquainted with oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analyzers. Measurement of common signals such as sinusoidal and periodic square waves are conducted in both the time and frequency domain.
