The Institute is a Government Organisation under the Department of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur (BTER).

CMRB Govt Polytechnic College, Sriganganagar is one of the oldest polytechnic college in the Rajathan. It was established in 1994. Bhama Shah Late Shree Choudhry Maloo Ram Bhambhu donated 6.4 acre land for the college.
