About the Department Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline. Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of physical infrastructure such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings with aim to provide basic amenities to masses.Buildings and bridges are often the first constructions that come to mind, as they are the most conspicuous creations of structural engineering, one of civil engineering's major sub-branch. Roads, railroads, subway systems, and airports are designed by transportation engineers, another branch of civil engineering.The water faucet from which water come out is not possible withour civil engineer.The department is Headed by Mrs. Prashsti Maharshi. Laboratories The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students to learn and innovate .The department has well equipped and well maintained laboratories accornding to the curriculum. Currently following laboratories are :Concrete laboratory, Material testing, Soil Mechanics, Applied mechanics, Survey lab, Highway lab Faculties
