The Department of Humanities firmly believes in developing interpersonal communication between teachers and students as well as creating an environment that will synergistically link scientific developments and thoughts to enhance the socio-economic, linguistic, managerial, and humanistic development of the country. It aims to build communication and managerial skills and also develop an awareness regarding various issues concerning society thus bringing in an all-encompassing and holistic development of the students. Communication exercises have been introduced into the curriculum which covers visual, oral, and written communication that ensures mirror expectations and best practices that make them stand uniquely and approachable at any time.  The Department instills the importance of responsible and sensitive global citizenship, through cultural self-reflection, ethical reasoning, and historical understanding of one’s relevance and positioning at the certain chronological axles of history.

Teaching methods in the department have been customized to understand a technical student’s need for particular streams of knowledge. The Department of Humanities has been so far very innovative and creatively iconoclastic in its approach to classroom teaching. It emphasizes the interpersonal contact between faculty and students and a unique tradition of combining theory with field interactive learning, strengthened with ethnographic visual essays and video ethnography as pedagogical tools.
