It is often said in our day to day life that “To awaken the people, it is the women who must be awakened. Once she is on the move, the family moves, the village moves, the nation moves.” Women empowerment and women equality with men is a universal issue.

Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Sanganer, Jaipur  is the 7^th Women Polytechnic College in Rajasthan established by Government of Rajasthan under Technical Education department in the year 2005-06.

The first batch of the Institute started in the year 2006-07. Hon’ble chief minister Smt. Vasundhra Raje inaugurated the institute in December 06 and now the institute is running smoothly in its own premises from September 07. The total land area available is 10,570 Sqm in which the department has planned to construct four storied educational building comprising class rooms, laboratories conference hall, canteen/common room, exhibition/display room, underground parking etc. Apart from this institute have hostel facility, staff quarters, play grounds.

We aim to lend a true education environment to the students for which we are in the process of establishing well equipped labs for the students with latest technology equipments and teaching aids. We emphasize overall growth and personality development of the students for which we organize curricular, co-curricular, extracurricular and sports events throughout the year.

The first batch of students passed out in the year 2009.

Field visits, workshops, seminars are the key factors through which we try to enrich our students in the respective fields. We hope to obtain the best in coming future.

It is a Non Engineering Polytechnic college. In which there are four departments namely Textile Department, Interior Designing, Costume Designing and Dress Making and Modern Office Management. Intake capacity of T.D., I.D., & C.D.D.M, is  forty & intake capacity of M.O.M is thirty.  Minimum qualification for taking admission is secondary. There is no age limit regarding admission in the I^st year. Each department is managed and controlled by  H.O.D. The Principal, H.O.D and all staff members are cooperative by temperament and completely devoted regarding their duties.

The Government Women Polytechnic College Pratap Nagar Sanganer, Jaipur is recognized by AICTE, under M.H.R.D, Government of India. It is well connected by National Highway No. 12. The pressing need for interaction with the Industry has been a priority, so that our students get a professional break through with a good remunerative package. Some of the students are self employeed and most of students are getting jobs in reputed  industries.
