INTRODUCTION 

 Government Arts P.G.College is the dream mission of the great sage Shri Narayan Dasji Maharaja. It was initiated with an aim to uphold the ideals and teachings of his guru Baba Bhagwan Das ji Maharaj. Therefore, the college aims to maintain high academic and social standards. Such a desire is a fitting tribute to his holiness after whom the college is named.

The foundation of the college was laid on July 29, 1976 and officially inaugurated on July 31, 1977. The presence of the college was a boon in bringing higher education to the doorsteps of the rustic inhabitants of this area.

 Surrounded in the scenic lush green Aravalli range, the college is located 64 Km East on Jaipur- Delhi national highway No. 8. It is situated in Chimanpura, 6 Km West from Shahpura at Neem ka Thana – Khetri road. The college aims to maintain high academic and social standards. Such a desire is a fitting tribute to his holiness after whom the college is named. The college bears its uniqueness due to the invisible blessings of the great saint and in its rural location.

The college has the privilege of running undergraduate classes in arts and commerce from its inception. In following years, the college introduced Science and Agricultural faculties which were 1980-81 and 1982-83. Furthermore the post-graduate classes initiated in the subjects vis.Hindi(1986-87),Sanskrit(1994-1995),Commerce(1996-1997), Geography(1999-2000), (Political Science and History)that have given this institution status of a post-graduate college. The College has been bifurcated and reorganised into two colleges Govt. Arts College and B.B.D Govt. Science and Commerce College vide Budget Speech of Hon. Chief Minister (no. 82), 2014 and running as the present college from 2016. Presently there are 43 faculty members dedicated towards building up the future of 5689 students.
