Realizing the importance of higher education in the development of the nation, very recently we have seen the expansion of higher education in rural areas and small towns. Government College, Kolayat is a concrete expression of this vision. The college was started in October, 2018, and inaugurated by Swami Samvit Somgiri Maharaj on 6^th November, 2018. keeping in view the genuine need of the students of this holy abode of Kapil Muni. As the college is presently in its nascent stage, it runs in a temporarily acquired school building.

The vision of newly opened Government College, Kolayat is to impart value education and inculcating critical reasoning among students.College works on the principle of 'sarvajanhitay' (welfare of all) and `gyananavardhanaya`(increasing knowledge), where students have the opportunity for Quality Education as well as personality and skill development. they can avail cost effective education and better employability.
